TRANSPORTATION & INFRASTRUCTURE
SMHB has made significant contribution in the development of the nation’s network of rail, roads and highways, and infrastructure for land development including townships, airports, resort and leisure facilities.
Our experience in transportation sector extends from schemes involving mass rapid transit, trunk roads, toll highways, bridges and urban traffic disposal systems.
We adopt an integrated and systematic approach in the provision of services in this sector through the development of transport plans and traffic management using balanced strategies for efficiency and safety in travel, assessments of traffic patterns, followed by the design and construction supervision of rail projects, highway, major roads and bridges.
Our scope in design encompasses geotechnical, drainage, alignment and geometric designs of rail, roads or highways, structural design of bridges, elevated interchanges, etc.
We utilise computer software applications extensively in our studies and design in order to provide the optimum solution for proper and safe traffic movements.
Similarly for infrastructure in land development sector, SMHB has the capability and experience to provide services that include infrastructure and utility management, design and construction supervision, depending on the needs of the client. We utilise “clash-analysis” planning and programming techniques for more effective and cost-efficient solutions in our projects which have often been technically challenging, requiring complex services within short delivery timeframes.
SMHB’s commitment to client and end-user requirements, coupled with our approach that emphasises on close client/contractor communication provides us the ability to achieve client goals within time and budget constraints.
